In the German Wikipedia biographical records are enriched with data fields that contain name, date, place of birth and other metadata. I will explain the concept, history and usage of this "Personendaten" and show some experiences and statistics. Personendaten are more than a Wikibibliography and may be a first stone of Wikidata and the Semantic Web.
