WebDAV is an IETF standard way of exposing a remote document repository to an application over the HTTP standard. In this presentation, we examine how this makes it a good companion to a wiki; how a wiki can expose a WebDAV interface, and how a Wiki can use a remote WebDAV interface. As an example implementation, we look at JSPWiki that recently gained a WebDAV interface. As none of the previous attempts to unify a Wiki RPC interface have been successful, we suggest to adopt an industry standard, already supported by Microsoft Office, Mac OSX and KDE.
