Some participants need an official invitation to get a Visa for visiting Germany ("fortress europa").

With a "Schengen Visa" you can also travel to other European states (see [1]) but only the number of days as stated in the visa (max. 90 days).

Attention: People will try to get in invitations just to stay in Europa. That's ok for me but we can get some trouble if we just invite everyone who wants to come. At least the people should identify themselves with a Wiki account so we can see if they are really involved and interested in Wikimedia projects.
