22 October: Boston is selected to host Wikimania 2006.
2 October: Boston and Toronto have been shortlisted to host Wikimania 2006 out of four candidate cities. The candidates were Boston, London, Milan and Toronto.

8 August: wikimania closes its doors. 380 participants from more than 50 countries.
5 August: Wikimania is now broadcasting on the Internet radio at Freematrix.
4 August: Wikimania 2005 begins!
